Public school officials weren't waiting for the first flakes to fall before making the call.
Education officials in the Lehigh Valley and Warren County weren't waiting for the first flakes to fall to call off school Thursday.
The National Weather Service says to expect snow to start falling between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 4 a.m. Thursday across the region, beginning from west to east. The heaviest snow, with rates of up to 2 inches an hour, is expected between 3 a.m. and noon Thursday.

Whitehall-Coplay School District
NORTHAMPTON COUNTY
Bangor Area School District
Bethlehem Area School District. District offices also closed, and there will be no child care
Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School. Offices are also closed

Colonial Academy
Easton Area School District
Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts. No evening activities, and the evening board meeting is postponed to Feb. 23.
